Hammer union
Hammer unions are designed and manufactured in line with API Spec 16C and used as perfect pipe connectors for
standard and sour-gas service, wing nut of hammer unions are forged from
high quality alloy steel and heat-treated for controlled harden, while male sub and female sub of hammer unions are made of high quality of seamless pipelines.
All materials meet ASTM and AISI standards. Each hammer union is
carefully inspected to ensure long, dependable service. Hammer
unions are often available in threaded configuration and butt-welded configuration, and sizes are often available in 2", 3" and 4", for other size, contact the manufacturer, cold working
pressures range from 2,000 psi to 15,000 psi, three-lug nuts and Acme
threads of hammer union ensure a safe and efficient way to
quickly connect and disconnect API threaded pipe connections
with only a hammer. Hammer unions for sour gas service are
manufactured in accordance to Standard MR-01-75 of the National
Association of Corrosion Engineers and API Spec 16C. Marks in
three-lug nuts and colors of hammer union help to identify
different pressure ratings. All hammer union parts of the same
figure number, size and pressure rating are interchangeable, and
end connections of hammer unions are available with line pipe or
tubing threads, butt welded, or non-pressure seal style. Hammer
unions for special field service may be provided on request.
